Build and Attach a Kaiju Plugin

Kaiju plugins extend the desktop app with focused tools and agent guidance. The plugin builder can use Kaiju’s configured AI, media, voice, and project capabilities. This guide is for extensions inside Kaiju Hub.
Describe the extension
Open Plugins and choose Create plugin. Enter Plugin name and explain the workflow in What should your plugin do? Include what the user supplies, what the plugin produces, and which Kaiju capabilities it should use. For example, describe a tool that generates product images and attaches the chosen result to a project.
Add optional agent guidance
Use AI role and rules for the instructions agents should follow when working with the enabled plugin. You can dictate the description or rules using the voice controls. Wait for recording or transcription to finish, review the text, and choose Build with AI.
Review the result in Plugin Studio
Follow the agent’s build in the plugin workspace. Review the instructions and any errors, then choose Use app to try the extension. Test its main workflow with a small example. Use Ask agent to request a correction or a new capability, and Refresh the running plugin after changes when needed.
Attach the plugin to projects
In My plugins, open Configure project targets. Choose All projects or Selected projects and select the intended projects before saving. This scope controls the project data, runtime controls, and agent context available to the plugin. Test it from a selected project to confirm it has the context it needs.
Manage availability and existing plugins
Enable the plugin to use it and include its guidance in new agent context bundles. Disable it when you want to stop using it. Use Import plugin to add an existing Kaiju plugin folder, then review its instructions and project targets before opening it. Changes to provider settings or missing project access can affect the plugin’s capabilities.
